DIRECTIONS TO:

SAINT MARK LUTHERAN CHURCH is located at 248 Broadway, less than a half mile from Norwich Free Academy, and about half way between Park Congregational Church and St. Patrick Cathedral. The primary driveway for St. Mark is on Broadway, just a short distance from the intersection with Broad St. There is also a secondary unmarked driveway on Broad St (which connects Broadway with Washington St), inconspicuously located between two stone pillars. Next to our Broad Street Community Garden.

Local Directions, from the South and East

Take Rte 2 West, or take Rte 12 North or Rte 32 North or Rte 82 East until they intersect with Rte 2 West. Then follow Rte 2 West (which is also Rte 32 North) as it rounds a bend to the right, putting you out of view of the river and marina area. You will pass Christ Episcopal church on the left as you round that corner, and then you will pass a fenced in playground on your right. Take the next RIGHT onto Broad St (just before a synagogue).

You will go up a hill. Before you start going back down the hill, on your LEFT there will be a one-lane unmarked driveway to the church between two stone pillars. If you miss this driveway you can turn left at the traffic light at the bottom of the hill onto Broadway and use the primary church driveway on your left. Parking is in the back of the building. Entrance is the blue door furthest to the right as you face the back of the building.

From all other directions:

On Rte 2 East: At the end of the freeway there is a traffic light (Backus Hospital will be to your right). TURN RIGHT onto Washington St (following Rte 2 East). Go straight through the first light. At the second light BEAR LEFT onto Broadway (leaving Rte 2). Go straight through the next light. St Mark is about a block further on the RIGHT. Parking is in the back. Entrance is the blue door furthest to the right as you face the back of the building.

From the East: (Providence and points East)

In RI, take I-95 South to Exit 5A for Rte 102 South toward Exeter. Take Rte 102 South about 0.8mi and BEAR RIGHT onto Rte 3 South. Take Rte 3 South about 1.2mi and TURN RIGHT at a blinking yellow light onto Rte 165 West. Take Rte 165 West about 9.5mi and then continue STRAIGHT on Rte 138 West. Take Rte 138 West about 7.5mi to I-395. Take I-395 South toward Norwich to Exit 81 for Rte 2 East. Take Rte 2 East into Norwich. Follow directions above.

Alternate from the East: (especially if coming from Boston)

From I-95 South in MA, pick up I-295 South (which goes around Providence) and take it to Exit 6 (in RI) for Rte 6 West. Take Rte 6 West and then follow signs toward I-395. Take I-395 South toward Norwich to Exit 81 for Rte 2 East. Take Rte 2 East into Norwich. Follow directions above.
