Our Pastor
Supply pastor, The Rev. Mary Robinson will be St. Mark Lutheran Church's guest pastor having been asked by the congregation council to lead the Sunday worship. She studied and received a Master of Divinity at Yale Divinity School, and has been ordained for twenty-seven years.
In the early 1980’s she served as associate pastor at Trinity Lutheran Church Papillion, Nebraska. Following that, she spent a number of years in two rural congregations north of Fort Drum, in upstate New York. Then she served as a pastor at Holy Communion Lutheran Church, Berlin, NJ, and finally came back to New England. She was called by the New England Synod to special ministry as interim pastor serving seven congregations as they moved through difficult transitions. Now retired she desires to serve Christ’s church in her life activities, be those preaching, teaching, sailing or hosting meals.
A personal message from Pastor Mary Robinson
It is a joy to come to this inspiring worship space. I will be asking us to lift up our hearts to God as we lift our voices in song and words. The enriching diverse music for which St. Mark Lutheran Church is known pulls me into this reflective time of Advent and Christmas. I cherish the thought of ministering here. I live in New London but am very happy to feel at home in St. Mark Lutheran Church, Norwich.
In Christ’s love,
Pastor Mary Robinson
